Discover the unexpected and hidden secrets of the City of London on our Quirky London Tour. Join us on this 2 hour walking tour which will take you down side alleys and passages that you may never have noticed before.
You’ll get the chance to explore the obscure and unravel the mysteries behind some of London’s little oddities.
This tour is designed to show off the London that sometimes gets forgotten on an average London tour. It is filled with quirky places, eccentric characters and bizarre anecdotes that you’ll remember long after the tour has finished.
During the tour, our knowledgeable tour guide will talk about an eclectic mixture of subjects including the first coffee house, a married statue, Dick Whittington, children’s nursery rhymes and ancient plunge pool!
There will be plenty of opportunities to take photos along the way as we point out plaques, statues, parks, signs and even buildings that many Londoners have never even notice – and we’ll tell you the story behind them all!
The tour starts at Temple tube station and winds through the City of London to finish by Monument, which was originally built as a giant telescope!
As with all our walking tours, we limit the size of the group to 30 people. This ensures you have a positive experience and can easily hear your guide. Please note that, owing to the nature of the locations visited, this tour is not accessible for wheelchair users or for parents with prams.
This tour will go ahead come rain or shine, so please wear comfortable and weather appropriate walking shoes and clothing.
