This comprehensive day tour takes in some of the best sights and locations that Oxfordshire has to offer.
Your guide and driver will pick you up from your central London hotel and take you straight to Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill. This sumptuous Palace is the primary home to the Dukes of Marlborough. You will spend a leisurely 3 hours at the palace where you can explore the gorgeous State Rooms and enjoy lunch in one of the cafes or restaurants.
From Blenheim Palace you will travel to the historic City of Oxford (approximately 30 minutes away) where you’ll be guided around the beautiful city centre.
As part of this guided tour you will visit one of Oxford’s 38 colleges, which make up the world famous Oxford University; you’ll enjoy the highlights of one of Oxford’s fascinating museums and see the gothic University Church of St Mary the Virgin. Intrepid travellers may wish to brave the 124 step climb up the church tower (a small fee applies; subject to availability) to enjoy panoramic views of Oxford’s famous skyline.
You’ll be guided through the cobbled streets, admiring the stunning buildings, while learning about the city’s history and traditions. The tour will finish at Oxford’s covered market, where you’ll be given the opportunity to have a short break to explore the diverse stalls and shops.
Finally, you can sit back and relax as you are returned to your central London hotel.
